Awsome Gaget it works great for me and i use Vista x64 system
Not quite there, IMO. It only displays up to 25 items per open/closed auctions list, and combines Watch and Bidding lists. It'd be nice to separate those, and integrate the selling gadget so users don't have to use both. The toggle for open/closed auctions is nicely done, perhaps one could be added for Watch/Bidding lists. Space for this could be made by replacing the clunky up/down arrows with a small scroll bar (perhaps one that appears on mouse-over).
The flyout is nicely designed but doesn't carry much info. I do like that I can bid from the gadget but given a choice, I'd rather be able to see more info, including any larger photos in the listing. The toolbar that appears on mouse-over is a nice touch.
I'm a little confused by the Add Auction feature. I understand what it does and it seems convenient, but it doesn't actually add items to my Watch list. So in essence, this gadget works like a second Watch list. This can be confusing, because users may use it to add Watch items then try to find them via My eBay later. Also, not all items added that way actually appear in the gadget's list - of three items (ending sooner than others so they'd appear near the top), only one actually appeared.
The links list is also a little rough - it'd be better to have it grab saved searches from eBay or at least display them and allow users to choose which ones to show. Having to add them manually is tedious and many users won't do it; plus it's one more way this isn't synched with eBay. When looking for a saved search, I don't want to have to figure out if it's saved in the gadget or on the site.
I do like how quickly it responds to commands and mouse-overs. I've been using it for several days, through an IE crash and just one reboot and it's been reliable. I also really like the clean, clear looks of the gadget. Im not interested in skins, per se, but it'd be nice to have a white version for those who'd prefer that option.
All in all, I think this has potential and I really wanted to love it, but it needs some work. I look forward to seeing how it develops. [Version 1.41]
Use it all the time, best eBay sidebar tool hands down
Not enough features for me, but a good effort.
simple yet effective. no bloated add-ons. would love to see a message notifier add-on.
